Kristin M. Franzoni has devoted her life to the service of others, as a career military veteran and attorney. Kristin is passionate to serve, both in and out of uniform. Her military experience spans over seventeen years in both an active and reserve service capacity.

Ms. Franzoni first became involved with veteran claims when handling her very own. As a military veteran with service-connected disabilities, Kristin knows firsthand the issues veterans face when filing veteran claims and dealing with the Department of Veteran Affairs. Her perspective allows her to understand the unique legal issues veterans, military members and their families encounter. Ms. Franzoni’s military background coupled with her experience in handling veteran legal matters, results in dedicated service focused on delivering the best results for her veteran clients.

As an attorney, Ms. Franzoni concentrates her practice on helping fellow veterans obtain the benefits they valiantly earned. Ms. Franzoni helps service members, veterans and their families with:

  1. Obtaining veteran benefits
  2. Securing service-connection for a veteran’s disabilities
  3. Increasing a service-connected disability rating percentage
  4. Winning on appeal for previously denied veteran benefits; and
  5. Collecting backpay on previously denied veteran compensation claims.

Ms. Franzoni is dedicated to fighting for our nation’s military veterans. She is passionate about advocating for those who have served our country and is committed to helping veterans and their families through the process of successfully securing the benefits they’ve earned and need. Ms. Franzoni is honored to serve those who have served this great nation.

Most notably, Ms. Franzoni is the only identified female military veteran attorney in the State of Minnesota that is licensed to represent veterans before the United States Court of Appeals for Veteran Claims. Not only has she served with you, she is here to serve for you.

In addition to helping fellow veterans, she provides legal counsel to persons with disabilities and seniors in areas including special and supplemental needs trusts, guardianship and conservatorship, estate planning and probate and planning for incapacity. In addition, she advises and assists her clients on government benefit eligibility including Medical Assistance and other available programs.

Ms. Franzoni earned her Juris Doctorate from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in 2019 and received her Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude in Criminal Justice with a specialization in Criminalistics in 2008 from Saint Leo University. During law school, Ms. Franzoni served as the President of the Mitchell Hamline Veterans Association and as Secretary for (P.A.L.S.) a student organization designed to provide services and aid to parents attending law school. Additionally, Ms. Franzoni is a qualified neutral under Minnesota Rule 114 with training in Civil and Family Mediation from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. Ms. Franzoni enjoys volunteering and has provided extensive legal services when volunteering with Minnesota Justice Foundation, Wills for Heroes and Legal Assistance of Dakota County. In addition, she has volunteered with the Dispute Resolution Center and served as a court mediator for both family and civil matters in Ramsey and Washington county.
